ABOUT US
Answers Private Detective Agency began on January 1, 1995, by David L. Basham, an investigator with over 35 years of experience in all types of investigations. The primary focus of the agency, at that time, was consulting corporations on workplace issues. As business increased, investigations and the use of the polygraph was added to the resources made available to the clients. In just two short years the agency opened the doors to the public in an office building. With the opening of an office the polygraph service was expanded to the public to include Domestic Polygraphs.

Answers Private Detective Agency was now poised to serve any client, business or domestic, thus becoming a full service detective agency. Some detective agencies specialize in specific area, such as, Workers’ Comp cases or Infidelity cases. With the vast resources available to the agency through business and personal contacts, Answers is able to provide any client with any type of investigation.

This agency has Associate Investigators who make themselves available to the agency as needed in order to conduct an investigation which requires their talent. We have Associate Investigators in fields, such as, fingerprint experts, handwriting experts, documents examiners, polygraph examiners, blood & body fluid experts, blood spatter experts, paint chip experts, computer hardware & software, tool marks experts, and many other experts in other forensic sciences. Literally hundreds of Associate Investigators are available to any client.

In addition to the Associate Investigators, the agency has three full-time investigators and three part-time investigators. Our office is staffed during business hours five days a week so when you call there is a live person to answer you call. In today’s business world that is a rarity. Our office is located in south Cobb County in a professional office building. We understand most business clients, and even domestic clients, are comforted by knowing we have a physical business location.

Our agency, and investigators with our agency, take pride in focusing on the clients’ needs, whether the client knows what they are or not. Every client is afforded a no cost consultation prior to the start of any investigation. This is a win-win situation. It enables the investigator to obtain all the information from the client to make an educated opinion. It also enables the client a chance to find out how the investigator can assist them without being financially obligated.

Some agencies will use only surveillance when conducting a Workers’ Comp or Infidelity case. We look for multiple options when preparing an investigative plan. While we realize surveillance may be the primary method used in a Workers’ Comp or Infidelity case, however, there are many other options available to us in these investigations.

Answers Private Detective Agency carries an Errors & Omissions insurance policy to protect our clients from situations, such as, malpractice or lawsuits stemming from an investigation. This insurance policy, taken out in 1994 before the company began, has never had a claim filed against it. All of our investigators are trained to ensure the integrity of the agency and each case and maintain a sense of propriety in what they do.

Every private detective agency in Georgia must maintain an agency license issued by the Secretary of State, Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies. This agency has been licensed since January 1995. This license allow us to conduct investigations anywhere in Georgia, as well as other certain states. When an investigation or client requires activities performed outside the Atlanta metro area our agency requests the assistance of Private Detectives in the local area. This is done to provide a more efficient service to the client at a more efficient cost. All outside investigators used have already passed our screening process to ensure they are professional, competent, and licensed.

This agency has handled interstate, and international investigations. Few agencies are capable of controlling major investigations encompassing multiple investigators in multiple locations. One such investigation conducted by this agency was an international fraud scheme. Our investigator, the Controlling Investigator, conducted an investigation which included Atlanta (GA), Jackson (MS), Los Vegas (NV), Los Angeles (CA), Salt Lake City (UT), Omaha (NE) and South America. All investigators involved reported to the Controlling Investigators. All activities conducted were supervised by the Controlling Investigator. This investigation was solved successfully and is now being tried in Federal Court.

Answers Private Detective Agency is associated with many professional associations. Many of which our investigators are actively involved in. Two of our investigators are on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Professional Private Investigators. One investigator is on the newsletter staff of three different associations.
